1. cut out front and back pieces of pouch from leather

sew strip of leather between front and back

turn pouch right side out

dry pouch in closed position

sew strip of softer leather between front and back

soak pouch in water for 10 minutes or so to soften leather

stuff the pouch with newspaper to hold its shape while it dries
8.
fold brass strip to make latch and cut corresponding hole in
pouch flap
